Pre-Algebra Test

Friday, October 10th, 2008

All pre-algebra students should be coming home tonight with a Chapter Three Study Guide.  Their test is Tuesday.  If they study with an adult and get a signature on the study guide, they can turn it in on the day of the test to earn five extra points!

Ohio Rennaisance Faire

Sunday, October 5th, 2008

We had  great time at the Faire!  I will try to post pictures if possible …

If your child wants some extra credit before the nine weeks ends, he or she can research math in medieval times - measurement, money, time, mathematics.  Your child can turn in a list of at least three facts on medieval math to earn five extra credit points.

ESS

Sunday, October 5th, 2008

ESS began this week.  The Pharaoh team has several students signed up, but only one student stayed.  Please encourage your child to stay for homework help every Wednesday afternoon.  Remember, JCMS is not providing transportation this year and students must have a parent/guardian signed permission slip on file in order to be a part of the ESS program.  If you are interested in your child attending ESS, but did not receive a letter, please contact me at nichole.greer@fayette.kyschools.us

Grade Updates

Sunday, October 5th, 2008

After being out due to a death in the family, I am finally starting to get caught up on grading and entering grades into Infinite Campus.  I apolgize to all of you who check it regularly and have not been finding it accurate.

Another note about grades … the first nine weeks ends on Wednesday October 15th.  Please encourage your child to complete any missing assignments and get them turned in to improve their grade.

Math Test

Sunday, October 5th, 2008

All math students are having their second unit test on Monday.  They should have brought home study guides to get signed for extra credit if they study with an adult in the home.
