If you have the classroom time to devote to only one study this month for African American History month, I’d suggest this one. For our students to understand the false notion of race and how it was created by science to rationalize certain historical practices. Watch this video and discuss it.Understanding the origins of racism is key to understanding its perpetuation and in the future, the potential to end the erroneous thinking behind those practices.
