Students’ day off, scheduled for Friday, February 13th has been cancelled to make-up our December snow day.  There will be school on that day. 

Homework:  Nightly vocabulary story and math worksheet on graphing.

Scholastic Book Orders went home today. The orders are due next Thursday, the 15th!

Welcome back!! I hope everyone had a great break. We are hitting the ground running this second semester; so please look for homework, behavior reports, and remember to talk to your child about his or her day at school.

Homework: We have a vocabulary test scheduled this week instead of spelling. A page with the vocabulary words and nightly homework was sent home today with your child.

Math: My math and Mrs. Kubiak’s math groups have a worksheet to complete. Ms. Salyer’s math has pages from the math text to finish.

 We are running low on tissues, notebook paper, and pencils. We would love to have a donation of these items to help us through next sememster!!!

A weekly behavior progress report was sent home today with each child. Please sign and return this to school tomorrow!

Weather Weather Advisory and alternate bus route schedule went home today.

It is very important that I have a contact number for you in case of early dismissal.  Every parent must be notified.  Your student cannont be released unless contact has been made.  Please check with me to confirm that I have the right number for you in case of emergency!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My math group and Mrs. Kubiak’s math groups have homework on probability. Mrs. Salyer’s math class only has homeowrk for what they did not finish in class today.

Homework: I forgot to get the spelling homework ready for the kids this afternoon !! I will send the sheet home tomorrow….

Here are the words for this week: large, gym, skin, quick, picnic, judge, pork, jeans, crack, orange, second, squeeze, courage, insect, appetite, chores, harvested, hitched, sown, and tended.

There is no math homework. We are starting a new unit on data and probability! If you are interested in seeing your student’s score on the money and time test please call, drop by, or send an email.

Homework tonight:  math worksheets for all math groups. Some students still need to finish pages 218-219 in their reading practice book or their cause and effect worksheet.

Study for spelling test tomorrow. 

JME is still collecting food for holiday baskets.  Third grade is donating boxed stuffing.

Spelling homework was sent home for the week!! The words this week are:

girl, clear, her, turn, dark, work, smart, word, hurt, serve, north, third, tornado, scurried, giant, mysterious, pedestal, square, statue, and weakling.

Math homework involves adding coins. This homework was sent home with both my math group and Mrs. Kubiak’s math group.

The Family Resource Center is sponsoring the 9th annual Julius Marks Kids Helping Julius Marks Kids Holiday Food Basket Project!! Third graders are asked to bring in boxed stuffing to contribute to the project.
