We read the 1st two chapters of Hatchet today. The students seemed to really enjoy it! Please talk with your children about what they are reading, this is helpful for comprehension. We will be having a quiz after every two chapters that we read.

Students wrote their spelling lists in their planners this week. There will be no bonus words this week.

We have a very busy week ahead of us!  Hope everyone got plenty of rest over Spring Break. We will be continuing our work on our writing portfolios and testing preparations. We will begin reading the novel Hatchet this week in reading and having after-school portfolio work sessions. More info on that tomorrow…

We will also be continuing our work on the Northeast in Social Studies. If your family has visited an area in the Northeast United States and has pictures they would like to share, feel free to bring them in.

I am looking forward to a great week!!!
