Beginning next week we will be PAS testing in the mornings. Make sure to eat breakfast and get plenty of rest! Be prepared to do your best.

Also, it is Read Across America Week. We will be doing various reading activities.

 Reminder: Social Studies Test is Tuesday, March 4th.

Today in Social Studies we listened to many Kentucky artists like Loretta Lynn, the Judds, and Bill Monroe.

In reading we brainstormed a huge list of homophones. Be sure to ask your child for some examples.

Social Studies Chapter 9 Test has been moved to March 4th.

This week we will begin our Letter To the Reviewer in our portfolios. We will also begin reading a story about singer Gloria Estefan in our theme of “Heroes” in reading. In Social Studies we will continue with our chapter on Kentucky literature, film, and music.

Our Valentine’s Day celebration will be on Feb. 14th. Students may bring cards for their classmates and friends. A food list will be going home at the end of the week.
